OMG Network Wins Exclusive Eurostar Deal
Eurostar has chosen OMG Network to run its affiliate marketing programmes in the UK and France and to set-up and manage a programme in the US. The exclusive deal follows an intensive, competitive selection process involving 12 networks.
The programme will come into effect in 2008 and will include the transfer of Eurostar’s existing affiliate programmes in the UK and France and will cover both train ticket and holiday sales. The deal will also see OMG establish an affiliate programme for Eurostar in the US, targeting UK sites with US traffic as well as US affiliates. OMG and Eurostar are also in negotiations over programmes in other territories.
OMG’s Managing Director Oli Matthews commented, “This represents another great step forward for OMG. Eurostar is a terrific brand and a very dynamic online proposition. We’re really looking forward to getting started and giving the programme a huge lift. It’s an exciting time for them with the new high speed line from St Pancras International so we are absolutely delighted to be involved.
Sarah Moore, eCommerce Marketing and Analysis Manager at Eurostar added, “OMG's flexibility and tailored approach were key factors but it was their focus on quality rather than quantity that really made the decision for us. It’s also an exciting time to be working with OMG as they are developing very rapidly in the travel sector.”
Oli Matthews continued, “This was one of the toughest pitches we’ve been involved with. We were able to demonstrate that we can run programmes across territories and in different languages which is something that is increasingly required by the biggest brands.”
The deal follows a series of significant business wins for OMG including Virgin Vie at Home, Agent Provocateur and RBS Insurance brands.
